- Université de Liège
Founded in 1817 and located in the hub of Europe, the University of Liège is among Belgium’s largest French-speaking universities. The ULg is a pluralist international institution with a spirit of openness to social, technological and industrial realities.
This is why the Ulg is the only university in Belgium which holds both labels granted by the European Union: ECTS and DS (Diploma Supplement). These labels are an acknowledgement of the quality of the ULg policies to accommodate international students (ECTS), and of the quality of information related to diplomas, facilitating their international recognition (DS). Ulg has developed areas of excellence in life sciences, agronomy, earth sciences, management, engineering and technological subjects.
11 Faculties located in Liege, Gembloux and Arlon, covering all academic disciplines, offer more than 250 Master’s and Advanced Master’s programmes to some 20,000 students, 23% of whom come from 102 foreign countries and 1800 are PhD students!
