Description
Programme description
The Hungarian Eötvös State Scholarship is a scholarship that promotes and supports the work of the most talented young professionals, researchers and artists in Hungarian scientific, economic and cultural life. It enables the further training of young professionals, their participation in research and artistic projects. The scholarship can only be used for research places and creative workshops abroad.
Duration
The duration of the scholarship is 3 to 6 months. If justified, the grant may be renewed for further periods on the basis of a new work plan. The period may be divided into several instalments during the same academic year, for professional reasons, or in special cases justified by the work plan.
Financial terms
The scholarship provides financial support for the fellow's subsistence, accommodation and material costs for the work abroad, as well as one-off return travel costs in the form of flat-rate travel expenses.

Eligibility criteria
Nationality.ies – Profile
All Hungarian citizens under 40 years of age (in the case of a candidate with children, the age limit may be increased on request), with a Master's degree (or equivalent) from a higher education institution, with a doctorate (or DLA), publications or other work and achievements - which prove the candidate's talent and expertise.
Two categories :
- post-doctoral category (for young researchers or artists holding a PhD/DLA degree who have already obtained a PhD at the time of departure) ;
- a pre-doctoral category, for doctoral students working on their thesis and participating in university training.

Deadline
March 31, 2021. Trips can be planned from September 1, 2021 to August 31, 2022.
Selection Process
The applications submitted will be evaluated by the staff of the Tempus Public Foundation and decisions will be made in April-May 2021.
